Homemade Dried Pineapples 自制凤梨果干

Dried fruits make excellent snacks, however commercially dried fruits often have added sugar and sulphite as preservatives. Dehydrated fruits without sugar and preservative is a better option but it's pricey! Making dried fruits at home is actually very easy, all you need is a dehydrator.

Method:

1. Peel and slice the pineapple, about 5mm thick. Arrange the pineapple on the cooking pot, crispier basket and/ or dehydrator rack. I'm using Ninja multi-functions indoor grill that comes with dehydrator function. Ninja Grill can be purchased from Ninja Kitchen Official Website. Cart out with Promo Code: MIKISNSG to get a 10% discount for any Ninja-Shark products.

2. Turn on the machine, select DEHYDRATE function, set the timer: 8 hours. I usually do this at night and "harvest" the dried pineapple the next morning.

Note:
- Do adjust the dehydrating time according to the thickness of the pineapples.
- If you can't get fresh pineapples, use canned pineapple rings.
