Quick and easy Stir Fry Pork With Shrimp Paste, a flavourful and delicious dish to go with rice. This recipe was adapted from an old recipe that I found in my mom's collection, modified a little to make it kid-friendly for my boy who doesn't eat spicy food.

250g Pork (shabu-shabu/ sliced thinly) 猪肉片 250克
1 Onion (white or red) 洋葱 1粒
1-2 Red Chili, sliced 红辣椒/指天椒 1-2 条
(use chilli padi/ bird's eye chilli for the spicy version)
3 cloves Garlic, chopped 蒜头 3 瓣
Some oil for cooking 油 适量
Marinade: 腌料
1 tsp Tapioca Flour 木薯粉 1小匙
1 tsp Sesame Oil 麻油 1小匙
1 tsp Shrimp Paste/ Prawn Paste 虾酱 1 小匙
1/4 tsp Sugar 糖 1/4小匙
1/4 tsp Oyster Sauce 蚝油 1/4小匙
Sauce: 酱料
1 tbsp Shrimp Paste/ Prawn Paste 虾酱 1 汤匙
(use 1.5 tbsp if you like it more flavourful 喜欢重口味的可以用1.5汤匙)
1.5 tbsp Sugar 糖 1.5汤匙
1/2 tsp Corn Flour 玉米粉 1/2 小匙
Some Water 水 适量
Optional: Coriander for garnishing 芫荽 少许点缀

Method: 步骤
1. Mix pork and marinade ingredients, marinate for 1 hour.
肉片加入腌料,腌制1小时。
2. Heat oil, stir fry garlic and onion till fragrant.
烧热油,爆香蒜头和洋葱。
3. Add in pork, stir fry till half cooked. Stir in chilli and sauce.
加入肉片,炒至半熟。加入辣椒和酱料。
Note: For the spicy version, use bird's eye chilli, fry the chilli with garlic to bring out the flavour.
4. Simmer till the pork is cooked through and the sauce is thickened. Garnish with coriander and serve warm with rice.
