Can you see the cute little Nutella key chain in the picture? That's the reason why I had over-stock my Nutella at home. With so much Nutella at home, I have a good reason to bake some sinfully delicious dessert for myself! Yeah, for me because my little boy didn't like brownies, but surprisingly my hubby who never like dessert, had eaten half of it. :)
The ordinary thick brownies are sweet, today I'd like to have something - less sweet. So I made my version of brownies healthier. A very thin layer of brownies with some crushed almonds on top, no sugar and no flour added in it. Just Nutella and eggs. That's simple!
Ingredients:
125g Nutella
2 Large Eggs
Some Crushed Almonds
Method:
1. Put the Nutella in a clean bowl, soften in a microwave for 25 seconds. Use a spoon to stir well. Set aside.
2. Beat the eggs until tripled in volume, fold into the softened Nutella in 2 batches.
3. Pour the batter in a lined baking tray/ baking tin (the size used depends on the desired thickness of the brownies.)
4. Sprinkle a generous amount of crushed almonds and bake in a preheated oven 175'C for 25-30 minutes or until cook through.
I used my swiss roll baking tray for the very 'thin' brownies. |
