Homemade Silky Soy Milk Pudding 滑滑的豆奶布丁



This is the best homemade Soy Milk Pudding recipe that one can easily prepare at home. It makes a healthy and tasty dessert that sure to please everyone's palate. This pudding has very quickly becomes my family favourite dessert!





When my boy was younger, I used to buy soy pudding from a Japanese restaurant. There was a small kiosk selling 'Ah Mah bean curd pudding' @ Sgd 2, in a very small container. (not sure if the name is correct). Sgd 2 for that mini cup is expensive especially for dessert lovers like us who will never stop at one serving. Making this at home costs way cheaper than store bought.

Taste wise, this homemade pudding beats all the store bought soy pudding as you can control the sweetness and texture according to your personal preference. Even my hubby who never like soy pudding rated "GOOD" and my boy, the little picky eater likes it too. :)

Silky Smooth Soy Milk Pudding.

Ingredients: 

1 litre Soy Milk (if using unsweetened soy milk, add 2.5tbsp sugar) 
豆奶 1公升 (如果用无糖豆奶,2.5 汤匙糖)

50g Milk Powder or Coffee Mate 
奶粉或coffee mate 50克 (喜欢比较淡奶味的,建议用coffee mate)

4 tsp Instant Jelly Powder
即溶jelly粉 4小匙

1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract 
香草精 1/4小匙

Method:
1. In a cooking pot, heat the soy milk until hot. (medium heat. I use level 4, for induction).
把豆奶倒进锅里,开中火煮热(不要煮滚)。




2. DO NOT bring to boil. Keep stirring until the soy milk is very hot, with steam. Stir in milk powder/ coffee mate until fully dissolved. 
边煮边搅拌。当豆奶很热时(会看到冒烟/有蒸气),边搅拌边加入奶粉/coffee mate. 煮至溶解。




3. Stir in instant jelly powder until fully dissolved. Lastly, stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat.
加入jelly 粉,搅拌至溶解。最后,加入香草精,熄火。

4. Pour into cups/ container. Let it cool and store in the fridge until it set. Serve chilled. Please read the notes shared after the pictures below.
煮好的豆奶倒进布丁杯,待凉后放冰箱。凝固和冷却后即可享用。下面分享了一些贴士,供参考!

Notes:

1. Do not add instant jelly powder in warm soy milk. Must wait until it's very hot. 豆奶一定要先煮得很热,才能放入jelly 粉。不然就会凝固成块状,会影响口感。

2. After remove from heat, immediately pour into cups/ container. The pudding set really fast. 加了jelly粉的豆奶很快凝固,煮好后,要尽快倒入布丁杯。
