Grilled Sweet & Spicy Pork Jowl | Char Siu [Korean-style Marinades] 韩式甜辣酱烧烤猪颈肉




Pork jowl is a cut that is flat and grilled-friendly because of its fat layer through the meat, it's tender and cooks really fast. This simple and quick grilled pork jowl with Korean Gochujang sauce is rich in savoury-spicy and sweet caramelised flavours, great to pair with rice, salad, sandwich etc.




The preparation is quite straightforward, simply marinate the meat then grill in the Ninja Foodi, and you'll get these tasty, flavourful and juicy pork jowl.



Ingredients:

2 Pork Jowl


1 tsp Tapioca Flour


1 tsp Light Soy Sauce


Marinade: Mix and reserve some sauce for basting the meat 


25g Ketchup 


35g Corn Syrup


25g Gochujang aka Korean Hot Pepper Paste


1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar


1 tsp Sugar

Method: 

1. Combine pork jowl with light soy sauce, tapioca flour and marinade ingredients, let marinate for an hour or overnight.

2. Preheat Ninja Foodi GRILL for 5 minutes.
