Pork jowl is a cut that is flat and grilled-friendly because of its fat layer through the meat, it's tender and cooks really fast. This simple and quick grilled pork jowl with Korean Gochujang sauce is rich in savoury-spicy and sweet caramelised flavours, great to pair with rice, salad, sandwich etc.
The preparation is quite straightforward, simply marinate the meat then grill, and you'll get these tasty, flavourful and juicy pork jowl.
Ingredients:

2 Pork Jowl
1 tsp Tapioca Flour
1 tsp Light Soy Sauce
Marinade: Mix and reserve some sauce for basting the meat
25g Ketchup
35g Corn Syrup
25g Gochujang aka Korean Hot Pepper Paste
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Sugar

1. Combine pork jowl with light soy sauce, tapioca flour and marinade ingredients, let marinate for an hour or overnight.

1. Combine pork jowl with light soy sauce, tapioca flour and marinade ingredients, let marinate for an hour or overnight.
2. Grill the marinated pork jowl for 10 minutes, flip and baste with the reserved sauce halfway grilling. Slice and enjoy! Note: This recipe is mildly spicy and kid-friendly, you may add some hot chilli powder if you like it spicier.
