Grilled Sambal Chili Stingray 烧烤三峇辣椒魔鬼鱼


This is a popular hawker dish in Singapore and Malaysia. Making it at home isn't difficult at all.  Sharing a very simple and delicious Grilled Sambal Stingray recipe with a generous amount of sambal chili. If you love spicy food, you'll surely love this, so super shiok to eat! 





Ingredients:

2 slices Stingray

1 tbsp Cooking Oil

1 Banana Leaf

1 Onion

1 Calamansi

Some Sambal Chili & Salt, add to taste

Method:

1. Slit the stingray, brush a thin layer of oil on the banana leaf. 





2. Rub some salt and oil on the stingray, coat the stingray with a layer of sambal chili, more at the bottom. Let marinate for 15 minutes.





3. Grill 8 minutes. Spread some sambal chili on top, continue to grill for 1-2 minutes or until cooked through. Garnish with some sliced onion, drizzle some calamansi juice and serve right away. Note: Do adjust the grilling time according to the thickness of the stingray.
