Flavourful and delicious Crispy Five-Spice Pork Belly, an old school dish that is usually deep fry in hot oil. It's pretty simple, just marinate and air fry till crispy.

380g Pork Belly
Some beaten egg and potato starch
Marinade:
2 tsp Tapioca Flour
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Garlic
1/2 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1/2 tbsp Shao Xing Hua Tiao Wine
1/8 tsp White Pepper
1/8 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp or more Chinese Five Spice Powder
(I used homemade Chinese Five Spice Powder (made by my dad), do adjust the amount accordingly.)

1. Place pork belly in a bowl, add all marinade ingredients, mix well. Cover and marinate overnight in the fridge.
Cut the pork belly into small chunks like I did or slice thinly if you like it more crispy. I like it this way, the meat is crispy on the outside, inside still juicy and tender. |
2. Remove pork belly from the fridge, return to room temperature, mix in some beaten egg and potato starch.
3. Preheat air-fryer 210'C for 5mins.
