Totoro Chocolate Steamed Cake 蒸巧克力蛋糕[简易食谱,无需搅拌机]

This is a super easy and straight forward steamed cake recipe, no mixer needed, just mix together the ingredients and steam. Upon my son's request, I made the steamed cake into three little Totoro. As usual, no food colouring is added.

That's the reason why I made Totoro steamed cake!
The boy got a huge Totoro soft toy, he told me to make "everything Totoro" for him.

The chocolate flavour is mild as I would like to have light brown colour for Totoro, feel free to add more cocoa powder or some chocolate chips if you love them more chocolaty. Here's a very old photo of the chocolate steamed cake with raisins that I made in year 2013 using the same recipe...

Recipe adapted from here.
