Easy Basic Scone 原味司康饼【No Oven | Blender Recipe】

Buttery, soft and fluffy homemade scones go perfectly with a cup of coffee or tea. You only need a few simple ingredients to make this from scratch and enjoy freshly baked scones for breakfast or tea. The texture is soft and fluffy, smells incredibly good!

I prepared the dough using Ninja Intellisense processor with a dough blade attached. Just pulse to mix the ingredients and form a soft dough. It's pretty quick and easy to do this with a powerful food processor. I usually make this in the morning and serve it right away for breakfast, so I have to do it really fast and bake using Ninja Foodi instead of an oven to cut short the preheating time. Ninja Foodi preheated in 3 mins whereas my oven takes about 12 minutes. And, the Ninja Foodi heat distribution is better than the oven!

Method:

1. Sift together all dry ingredients. Add the mixture and cold butter into Ninja processor with a dough blade attached.

2. PULSE a few times to mix into crumbs. You can do this by hands but blender method is way faster and better in a way because our hands are warm and tends to melt the butter.

3. Add in wet ingredients, PULSE to form a soft dough.

4. Transfer the dough onto a parchment paper or well-floured worktop. Gently fold the dough twice and flatten the top, cut with a round cutter.

5. Preheat Ninja Foodi Bake Mode 170'C , 3 minutes.

6. Transfer the scones into the Cook and Crisp Basket, egg wash.

7. Bake 170'C 10 minutes, serve warm with your favourite spread. Leftover can be kept chilled or frozen, reheat before serving. Ninja Foodi and Ninja blender can be purchased from Ninja Kitchen Official Website.
